My truck is a 2001 dodge Ram 2500. I am running the Fass fuel pump and seperator. I am 300 miles from home and noticed that the truck seems to be loosing power. When I press the accelorater nothing happens and then it seems to catch. I checked my codes and there is only (1) a P0216. The book says this is the injector pump. Could something else cause this code. Should I install a new injector pump before making the return trip or are there other things I should look at. When I installed the fass system I left the old filter in place because I didn't know what to do with the wires that plugged into it. Any sugestions? I have about 60,000 miles on this injector pump. Is that all I can expect from these things. Is there a more reliable unit available. My fuel pressure is a constant 18 psi.

 

I cannot help you much but if you tell people where you are maybe someone near by could lend a hand.

 

I hate to say it but sounds like you need a new injection pump. P0216 is the injection pump death code. Don't think there is anything else you can do beside a new injection pump to fix your problem.

 

double check the fass have seen them go bad and cause problems

 

18 psi? is that after the filer? If not you could have a plugged filter.
