Losing oil pressure...

i noticed that when i have overdrive diengaged around town and the truck is winding at 1700-2000rpms i have been losing oil pressure. also on the highway the same thing with overdrive on...
any ideas??? fresh oil change with filter, level is perfect...
first time it happends was in buffalo NY driving to boston ma...

Sounds like the sensor is going bad.

Do you have a real gauge or just the factory "gauge"?

If you have a real gauge, what are your pressures vs. rpm?

factory, im lookiing to buy an isspro oil psi gauge soon....i need a steering box first though

Just go but a cheapo pressure gauge , should be able to pick one up for 10$ somewhere , a few hardware bits , and hook it up temporarily , zip tie it to the windshield wiper or the like , and go for a quick drive , see if the temp gauge pressure drops when the stock gauge does...
