loosing boost

Angry loosing boost

i need help fast! i have a 95 12 valve and i changed the oil today and i sprayed my engine with citrus cleaner then sprayed off with water. truck ran fine beforw hand. well now while im driving down the road truck runs fine but if i mash it down and like put a load on the engine it will only build boost for so long then i will totally lose it all, truck will pour out black smoke and back fire. only mods done are fuel plate cut to a 45 degree and star wheel backed off. all the rubber couplers on the air intake hoses look fine. need help!?!?!?!?

Check your intercooler boots. Thats what is sounds like.

all the boots look fine but i am gonna pull them off and check them all. if the waste gate was hanging up would it cause and simular problems?

That's definatly a possibility. Try pinching off the boost line to the wastegate to see if that's the problem.
