hey all i have a question im losing boost 10 to 15 pounds some were. i have a stock 95 2500 and i dont know were to start how i found out i was at a free dyno runs were i live and i only had a 155 max at 4th gear and they sed i shuld of had a 227 stock and i dont know were to look and if eney one know s how mutch its going to cost me to fix it so if eney one has an idea let me know pleas thanks staken

Im believe that the 95 were not rated very high for HP, espically if you have an auto trans. Maybe like 180 HP?????.
My 97 with 5 speed is only rated at 215. But i have turned that up a bit.

Do you have gauges? Is that how you measured your boost?
A boost leak causes low power and Hi EGT. CHeck all your intercooler boots that they are tight and that there are no cuts/cracks in them. Start there

 

94-95 were rated 160hp for automatics, and 175hp for stick shifts.

96-98 auto was 180hp and stiuck was 215hp.....


in either case, if its a stick thje clutch could be slipping, and or the timing has slipped.

 

loss of a few ponies can be anything from i tired engine to a tear in a boost elbow you need to start somewhere how many runs did you do on the dyno. what was the temp. if your truck is rated at 160 and you show 155 forget it
