line leak

just called Cummins here...I have a small pin hole on the pressure side steel line that runs from the filter housing to the side of the IP... Are these guys nuts...They want $107.00 plus tax for this one foot piece of line. The leak is right where the pipe goes into the banjo.Could this be brazed??

I just had to braze the #6 injector line at the injector...be sure to use silver solder and some good acid flux, it'll hold fine! Yours is much lower pressure than mine and it works fine.

propane may get it hot enough, MAPP would be better, acetelyne is the best bet...small tip not a REAL hot flame, more gas than oxy...you get the picture.

I just had the same problem with that line a couple days ago on my 95 and brazed it with oxy/act. I've drove a couple hundred miles since the fix and it seems to have worked fine
