Lift Pump Circuit (HELP!!!)

So my lift pump is getting no juice at all, just a small spurt when i turn the key. I checked for codes and pulled up the transfer pump code, has anyone had this happen before? Whats some ideas on solving this problem? Keep in mind I do have a raptor after market lift pump, but have the problem isolated at the stock lift pump circuit. I really need to get it running, its my only mode of transportation. Thanks for the help

swap the ASD relay for another non essential one in the fuse box.

When you turn the key on "just a little spirt" is how it is programed by the PCM to work and would be considered normal. That circuit only runs steady after the engine is started and running.

If you bump the key and turn it over very little without starting that circuit will run for 20-30 seconds then stop.

Yea, i'm aware thats how its programmed. However, the spirt is way less then normal and i've bumped the starter many times. And as far as the ASD relay, do you have to buy those from the dodge house, I was curious if that was the problem but didnt know how to test it since its not a normal fuse.

I have a similar problem, about 8 volts with the key on and no (0)output with a new ddrp attached to it. I went to a 12v ign on circuit and ran a relay to run the pump. I believe the driver in my pump has quit, maybe yours too.

I assume the truck is a 1998.5 though 2002, and if so I would suspect the processor that is built into the VP44 has fried.

Usually when that processor fries, the front housing diaphragm on the pump has been blown for some time too.

I am not a fan of bypassing the VP44 processor, as doing that becomes a fire hazard in the event of a vehicular crash.

However, I would bypass and jump the pump directly and if all is well and the pump runs, then I would replace the VP44 with a first rate rebuilt unit that you know for sure has had the front housing replaced, a new processor, and the linered rear housing. All the others are junk!

That would make sense RCW cuz for awhile i was running more pressure than needed at idle and i heard that could cause the front housing diaphragm to blow. And my vp has been heading downhill for the past couple months I know for certain.

My VP has been replaced 2x... I'm sure the driver in the ecm has quit.. I just used a 12V ignition on to run a bosch style 40A relay and then powered the relay off the 12V constant stud at the underhood fuse/relay box. The truck seems to start ok with the pump running. Only thing weird I found is that the DDRP has a red and green wire (DC motor will run in either direction), the green is the + and red is - to run the pump in the correct direction to pump fuel.
