Leaking Injector on my 12v Second Gen Urgent!!
Ok
As some of you know I'm putting the truck together and I'm running in to some obstacles, slowly they are being resolved, here is the lates bug.
I had a shop here in Seattle re build my injectors, the original stock Injectors, I'm was hoping for a trouble free installation but as soon as the truck started some of the injectors leaked, I torqued them to the specified torque that is on the book, when I installed them so I was surprised to see the at least half of the injectors where weaping or leaking, I called the shop and they said to remove them as most likely there was some contamination in the injector which broke the seal, I was carefull about installing them the head just got checked, and all horseshoe and coppers washers are new ??? never the less I removed the the injectors from the head re cleaned them and there is stlill a dregree of weeping but one of them is definatly leaking, Affter thinking this trought and reading all the post I found on the forum on the subject I came to the conclusion that the one source of the leak is possibly the armature of the injector, apperantly sometimes if the are not correctly torque they can leak if they leak there fuel would work is way up to the hold down nut.
I'm going to call the injector shop againg tommorow, but was wondering if I could get some feed back on why this is going on.
here is the game plan.
If I had a way of checking to make sure injectors where correctly torqued that would be great but I dont know how to do this so
I have no game plan
any thoughts would be apriciated

note
does any body know of a way to make sure exactly where the leak is comming from, is there maybe a poweder you can get to sprinlkle on there that changes color as fuel comes out, to make sure that is not the horse shoe or crown of the injectors that's leaking, ??
As far as tracking down the leak, you could get some UV dye and put it a few ounces in the tank (I'd say about 5 gallons of fuel to 1 oz of dye), and run the truck for a while to get the dye into the fuel system. If you want immediate results you could take the fuel filter off, put a bit of dye in the fuel, then reinstall and look for leaks. You can get the dye at NAPA usually, just make sure it is oil-based.
I had a couple of leaks on my injectors after installing them because my return line was bent just a bit, causing it to misalign with the return port on the injectors.
Hope this helps some.

return line
how could you tell it was bent would be just a very small amount yeah..
Thanks for the dye idea, I know is leaking at the injectors I'm looking to find out which of the fittings at the injector...

To find a leak get a bucket and fill it about half way with fuel. Put some UV dye in it, then run your suction line into the bucket. That way you know that the only fuel you are getting is dyed fuel. The Transfer tube that you put into the side of the head should have an "o" ring on it. If the injector is leaking can leak past that "o" ring and out the side of the head. It depends on where you are seeing the fuel, is it mixing with the oil where you put the nozzel, leaking out the side of the head, or is it leaking out the connection where the line from the pump goes to the transfer tube? I have seen those get damaged and they wont seal and just drip, drip, drip.
Thanks for your toughts ...
Ok here is where we are on the subject, took all the injectors out, marked the one that where leaking ( 3 and 4 ) took them to the shop who inspected them and said that all looked good, put the injectors back in but swaped them around and installed the injectors that where on 3 & 4, (which leaked ) on to injectors holes (1 and 2 ) which where dry on the first try and the leak reamined in ( 3 & 4) to me that means that the injectors is not the problem since the head just came out of the shop that is ok also, that means the high pressure line between the pump and the injector is the problem and most likely is the niple on the high pressure line, that attaches to the top of the injector, tommorow I will take of only this two lines and in good lighting check the niples, if I cant fix the lines does anybody know if I can purchase a single line if it is bad, like 3 and 4 high pressure lines,

Issue resolved !!!
I was really not sure that the shop had keep my marks on the apropiate injectors so I whent ahead and moved them once more to difrent holes on the head I notice the niples on the high pressured lines looked scorged from the injector so I carefully fieled them and sandethem down with 600 wet sand paper using diesel as the weting agent, the two lines sealed right up however one of the injectors was still leaking from the body, the shop order a new injector and collected my core put lines back together and it worked great no more leaks, and the truck is running incredible well...
Thanks for all your help...
