Hey guys i am new to this site. i have two questions first a few days ago my keyless entry stoped working. so i got new batteries for the key pods and it still does not work. so i was taking a look under the dash and i noticed a flashing red light. its a single red led light on the end of four wires. it flashes about two or three times per second. i dont know if this has something to do with the keyless entry not working or not. and as far as i know i do not have a security system. and if the key is on or the truck is running the red light is not flashing. Thanks for any info or help you can give.

 

Welcome to the site. In your menu options there is a section for your "signature". Fill in that space with make, model, year, and any info about your truck.....that said, from what you are describing you must have some sort of aftermarket add on. No factory system that I can remember had a led on it. Also the Mopar add on alarms usually have a "EVS" sticker on it. The dealer has a tool to tell if your fob is putting out a signal. That's where I usually start before attempting a reprogram.

 

Thanks j body. I am going to swing by the dealer tomorow and have them take a look at the light. maybe they will know what it is. As for keyless entry the only thing i did was disconect the batteries to install the vaulcan big line kit. I think thats when it stoped working.
