4x4 3speed with od.. i searched for a thread on here , where i thought there was pictures of a tranny. and it showed with one it was.. i looked under to see if any thing came un done in the snow and ice.. but all was still hooked up.. can someone post a pic of where this solinoid is.. and part number is it a cummins part or dodge part.. or can i get it at the parts store... the truck ran all day last nite... hauled hay. and watered horses and it as working.. got in it to day nad no worky at all... thanks alot guys...

 

Has anything else stopped? when mine did this it was the pcm, the ac also stopped working.

 

take the cable off the back of tranny and check the actuall sensor the sensor are about 60 bucks at stores reall easy to replace...also check the sensor on crank shaft that wires in to ur tps...

 

cool will check.. i still have a/c. but lost cruise.. unless i aint building enuff speed .. sounds like that engine is fixen to come out ta hood,

 

Mine does that right along. Pull plug off sending unit on transfer case clean contacts with electrical parts cleaner or brake cleaner. Will take care of it for couple yrs. till it gets dirty again. Been doing it for yrs.

 

well i pulled the gear box of the transfercase. fot the vss. the gear box was wore out.. rattles when i spin it and the part that the wire connecter goesn in to , does not spin.. so i hooked the wire connecter back to the transfercase. speed 0 came back. od kickes in rite at 44mph. to 46 mph every time.. tom tom helps me with my speed.. down shifts a hole lot better. and has firmer shifts.. for some reason? i dont know why.. ill just have to get use to the tom tom to monitor my speed.... thanks for the help.. guys
