endplay

I bought my inputshaft from advanced adapters and he told me to ensure that there was some endplay, I can't remember what he said it was supposed to be but once it was installed I checked it with a dial test indicator and it was within the limits. It was a long time ago when I did mine but I think if its to tight it will preload the end bearing and cause premature wear. Hope this helps.
