Injector pump leaking?
There is a service cover on the fuel injection alignment pin, and sometimes that gets a bit loose and will leak oil. Look right above the front throttle linkage spring attachment, and run your finger under that cap and see if that is the source.
The other most common leak is a loose pump. In that case the O-ring between the pump and the gearcase cover mounting bracket is the culprit. 9 times out of ten it is simply loose nuts on the mounting studs. You reach them from the pump side of the engine, and it can be a challenge.
The last common leak is the inspection plate cover on the back of the pump, right below the AFC housing. It is secured with two flat screw head machine screws and a wire and seal. Run your fingers around that cover and look for leaks there.
If by chance the main front seal O-ring is gone, that requires pulling the oil filler tube, the front pump drive gear, and then pulling the pump out the back after you remove all the lines. This is generally more of a job than most home shop guys have the tools for, and requires retiming the pump. If you try this, get a Haynes Repair Manual #30041, and follow all the steps to keep from losing your crankshaft reference on the pump timing.
