Injector Pump Leak

I searched the archives but could not find any info on this.

1992 Cummins, When the engine is running fuel drips
out of the top of the injector pump. Looks like it
is coming from under the throttle linkage. Is there
an o-ring on the shaft, can this be snugged up.

Thanks for any advise.

Bo

Bo,

There is a seal kit for the VE pump, and it is dirt cheap. Here is one supplier: http://www.fuelinjectionpumps.com/ve.html

Re:Injector Pump Leak

You need to be careful if you're going to do the repair yourself.
The throttle shaft is indexed and MUST be re-installed in the proper location or you will not have proper throttle travel. It's a ratty job with the pump on the truck.

Bob.
