I got 2 different Moog lower ball joints - should I return one for a matching one?

Ordered 4 MOOG ball joints for my truck. I did the passenger side, the lower looked different than the top. It was shiny and had NO grease fitting.

(I never did one of these, what should I expect)

Doing the driver's side today and the lower looks similar to the top in color and finish. It has a grease fitting too.

After looking closer, 3 have MOOG stamped on them. The shiny one doesn't. Did I get screwed?

The shiny one looks like the one in the picture on the moog website

Same thing happened to me on the '01. My joints came from NAPA. I had local NAPA call their supplier and find out what was going on and I was told the newer joints came with fittings, but older joints did not. Same manufacturer, same part number, same kind of box, but they updated joints to all having grease fittings. I just lucked up and got one with and one without. It is a pain to grease because you have to screw out a plug, put in fitting, grease, remove fitting and reinstall little plug due to cleareance with axle u-joint yoke.

I'll post what I find out

I bought another MOOG locally and it has the greas fitting.

The odd one didn't have MOOG stamped on it anywhere. I hope it was an honest mistake. Sometimes I hate ordering things on the internet.

Definately get greasables. If not you'll be back in there sooner than you should and it's not easy. It would be nice to have them all the same Moog brand too, just so you know what you have.
