Re:how to lower idle?

I see that you got the air out of the system.
Great !
You can adjust it with the idle screw on the side of the pump.
It's down on the side of the pump on the rear below the AFC housing.
But if it is off very much from before the GSK install the springs may not be tightened right.
Did you use a caliper or just count the clicks?
If you counted the clicks it's prob. not the same as before.
In theroy it should work like that.
But in reality you can't feel the clicks the same as the stock springs because of the different tension of the springs.
If you have a 215 pump or it could happen on the 180 pump , but it's more likely for the 215. You may have to adjust the gov. lever after a 4K gov spring install.
Some people will tell you it can't be done on the truck that it has to be done on a test stand. That's not true I've done it many times.
If you have gauges and see a drop in boost or the engine hesitates and then surges and takes off then it needs it.

Good Luck !
Let us know how it turns out.

Re:how to lower idle?

No....deffinately no surge or hesitation....holy crap.....its such a different truck...... ;D ;D ;D....Its idling at 900 so I turned the idle bolt in about 1 turn on the back /side of the pump....I left the interior light on all night so its on the charger now....then Ill now where its at....

I can t believe what a difference.....and smoke....the difference is that it has so much power that driving normal has little to no smoke....but if you throttle it a tad look out and its off....yes its a 215 model.....and now its got 370's,4000gsk, bhaf, kdp killed, and the 4 inch is laying on the floor..... ;D the egt goes up quick.....still stock turbo...but the afc is blocked....

shopping for turbo......

Re:how to lower idle?

I was able to lower the idle to 780 but when I lift off the throttle , like coming up to a light to stop in second gear it dies sometimes......should I turn it up a tad or is there something else?

The power over all is cool though....its smoother then oem...pulls and puls and pulls.....and swings the boost gauge past 30 easy....and swings the egt up to 1250 + pretty easy too.....

Sounds like the gov. springs are not tightened right.
Did you use a caliper or count clicks?
I know that you want your truck ASAP.
I'll be gone for awhile tonite.
Give Piers a call.
He'll tell you about the springs and how to adjust.
He's a great guy.
They are on PST. I'm on Eastern time so he is 3 hrs. behind me.
I'm in Kentucky.

It's 2:15 pm there now.
Let me know what you do and how it turns out .
