Help! tranny squeaking and grinding

and making other bad noises....odd thing is it's an auto

99 2wd auto, started grinding and making a chirping sound about 10 miles from home. I thought it was the carrier/center support bearing. Replaced that and I still have the grinding/chirping/humming. The ONLY thing I can think of is the trans. It actually went away, or seemed like it went away when I popped it into neutral.

I put it up on jackstands and it's definately coming from the trans. Almost sounds/feels like its coming from the TC area.

"chirping noise" from that area could be a cracked flex plate.

actually that makes sense, I noticed a slight oil or ATF leak when I was under the truck today pulling the drive shaft. If the flexplate is cracked it would allow the TC to move around a bit and take out the seal! Sound about right?
