Hey, if you give a shout out, my parrents live in Murray Utah, very close to sandy. I would replace the fuel filter. fill it half way with diesel (911 red bottle and diesel.) nexted the fuel that comes out of the canister water drain is on the outside of the filter the dirty side not the clean side. it could be cloged there. make sure you plug the truck in if you can and put some sorce of heat under the hood right on the injector lines for 30min to 1 hr . before trying to start/ priming the motor agin. right or wrong to prime mine I only lossen the 1 st 2nd and 3rd. I leave #6 alone because it's a pain in the butt. also I would like to add I have a lift pump sitting in there garage thats just taking up space. all I can say is it pumps. get back to me the number you can get me at is 1(320)583-1912 hope all this helps and you can get your truck running.

I'd bet water in fuel, pulling the fuel filter out will let you see...if there is ice its not going to flow good.
My truck will run with water in the fuel, untill you shut it down and let it get cold enough to freeze up

Well guys I apperciate all the help, especially the Utah locals, JustinP,Phox Mulder, JD Dearden, 53 ****** for your offers, sugestions, and recomendations. I took the easy way out (kinda) and just had it done by Zane Koch @ Wide Open. I was kinda out of my element on this one, out in the cold weather, didn't have any of my tools, unfamiliar place (don't know a good shop from a bad shop), with a problem I've never encounterd before, with a truck I'm still getting familiar with (had for a little over a year now).
I must say I feel alot more comfortable with the truck now, I bought this truck in Oct.'05 and this is the first time it's seen a mechanic . Just knowing that someone who knows what they are doing has worked & looked at it and didn't find anything major gives me piece of mind driving it (especially 500+ miles trips).
So it was the lift pump that failed. Zane replaced the pump & filter and that was that. He charged me $98 for diagnoises, RR lift pump & filter, and even threw in 2 bottles of fuel additve, my E-brake feels like it was adjusted too. Anyways thanks again guys I would have been "lost" without your help. (A round of beers for everyone)

I am in Odessa Texas and the temp here got down to 18 or 19 last week and we don't have blended fuel here. Had no problem with gel fuel. I did put some anti gel in later that day just in case.
If you do think it might be a gel problem get a quart of the 911 stuff and a new fuel filter. Change the filter and fill it with about half and half diesel fuel and the 911 stuff. See if that helps.
