If you don't have 10 volts at the orange wire, key on, you either have a bad connection at the pcm, a bad pcm, bad ground or no power to the pcm.

BAd PCM

No one on this site wants to admit that the older 12v have a problem blowing the computer along with the crank sensor. But trust me I had the same problems as you. You lose all your gauges and a/c controls. It is the the pcm. Take it out and bring it down to the dealer that way they can order you the correct one. They made more than one for that year. So a junkyard PCM would be a needle in a haystack.

It's actually pretty rare for the PCM to blow. About the only way to test one is to swap it with one that you know that works or swap yours into a truck that is working fine.
A friend has one for a '95 auto that works and probably would be interested in selling since he no longer has the truck. PM me if interested.
He relied on the dealer diagnoses that the PCM was bad, it wasn't. We swapped it into my '95 manual and everything worked fine on my truck.
The real problem ended up being a bad connection at the PCM.
