Somebody help me!!

I just got my fp gauge put in. When cruising down the road my fp will fluctuate from 12 to 13 all the way to 5 instantly and stay there for a while. Sounds and runs fine but am a little worried about this. Is there air in the system, lift pump bad, what because I don't know. Help me out, thanks. cumminsboy

Same thing happened to me 2 days ago. Brand new gauge, pressure varied between 3 and 12psi. It was the pump for sure.

Can you send me the old pump? I want to tear it apart and determin the cause of failure. I have a theory I'm working on. I'll pay shipping.

I know, I know, I need a life.

Even though my truck is stock and I plan to do some mild BOMBing, would a Holley Blue pusher pump be a good idea.(I like the Blue pump and I have a brand new one on the shelf in the garage). Feedback??

The Holley Blue is a great pump, many peeps are have nothing but good things to say about them. I run the Holley Black beacause it pushes out a few more gph. Some say that the Blue is more reliabe. Either way, both are better than the stock lift pump and are a good investment.

P.S. If you do decide to a Hollley, you need to upgrade your fuel system (Max Flow kit, or larger fuel hoses from the tank to pump).
