Unhappy Help with Cracked "53" block!

My friend's 1998 24v 4x4 was leaking outof the passenger side of the block for awhile now, today it finally burst and he needs a new engine...does anyone know of anyplace to find a motor for a decent price in the Northern California/Oregon/ Nevada area?

I've got a lead on a wrecked '98 with a good motor here in Oklahoma but nothing that far west. Watch ebay. They show up there quite often.

Do not limit yourself to a Dodge engine. Any 24 valve 5.9 engine will bolt into your truck. The commercial engins of the higher horspower are better engines. If it is lower power, your engine accessories will make it as powerful as yours, and moreso because of the cam difference. See my sig.

How many miles on it???

If less than 150000 miles and you did NOT try to repair it ,, Cummins will help,
Ends up costing about $3500.00 for a new engine.....
I already tried to repair mine,,(up the creek), I am looking for an Engine also,, Only on the EAST Coast..Good luck.
