HELP!!! clutch parts/garage!!!

I apologize in advance for not having been on the forum for a long time (death in the family) and only coming on when I need help!!!

I need a good garage in the Gettysburg area and a local source for SBC parts...my 1.5 year old Con O Fe clutch failed (center tore out) even though I've never done a hard launch and I'm only at 400 HP...I'd be open to other flavors of clutch/pressure plate/flywheel as well...not so sure I'd trust the SBC again!!!

TIA
John

Liberator Performance in Carlisle. I think Mid Atlantic Diesel in Maryland off of 15. I don't know of any in Gettysburg.

Thanks...I considered that direction but I've had the clutch in the truck just over 1.5 years and around 25k miles...and while I've never abused it, (never have done a burn out or lugged it way down with a load) I have used it...I would have expected it to last a great deal longer at the price but I'm not one to squawk...I just learn my lesson and move on!

All the more reason to contact them in my opinion. Doesn't mean you have to go on what they say.

I have done all of the above to my clutch, still wouldn't stop me from checking in with them if I had (what I thought to be) a pre-mature failure.

What's it hurt to ring them up, a few minutes out of your day, I'd give it a shot.....?

From reading on here, they seem to have a reputation for customer service...

If you are thinking it should have lasted longer, I think it would be worth a call. I wouldn't expect a free replacement, but maybe they would offer you a bit of a deal to make you happy...

All good suggestions...I'll give them a ring but just for feed back...maybe someone else can benefit from the failure of my clutch...

Great suggestion to call SBC...they were VERY polite, apologetic and promised to "do something for me" and if you ever have occasion to use Zimmy's in Lebanon, Pa they have treated me super!!! They put me in front of several other customers to get me back on the road and did the work very reasonably!!!

Thanks Redliner for the point in the right direction!!!

I figured as much. Peter runs a tight ship, they pride themselves on customer satisfaction.
