take it to a checker auto parts or an auto zone and have them scan for codes, they don't charge for the service

Cant Get There....truck Will Only Idle. I Was Even On My Way Back To The Dealership For Brake Work. COULD I HAVE DONE SOMETHING WRONG REINSTALLING THE FILTER CAUSING THIS. WAS MY FIRST TIME.

UPDATE.... I JUST WENT AND PULLED THE FUEL FILTER OUT AND RE OILED THE O-RINGS AND PUT EVERYTHING BACK CHECKING TO MAKE SURE THERE WAS NOTHING STILL IN THE LID(OLDER METAL STYLE BY THE WAY WHERE FILTER DROPS OUT FROM BOTTOM) AND PUT EVERYTHING BACK. TRUCK STILL SHOWING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BUT WILL REV UP NOW. SCARED TO DRIVE AND DRIVE IT AND GET STRANDED.

You might have to reset the APPS. They have the proceedure in the FAQ section. That should take care of that problem. I have had that happen to me before also.

i guess there is a better than average chance of this being the problem. unbeknownst to me at the time when i changed my filter yesterday i did something to the throttle wire. when i started it up after change it revved to like 2k rpm's..shut off tried again..same thing...went up front messed with the cables that i had to move to get to the filter...tried again..only reved to 1500 rpm's i tapped the pedal and it finally idled down and was fine after that. didnt drive it till today...made it about 1/4 or a mile and dead pedal, check engine light came on. i am 99% sure i got all the air out as it fired right up after priming with no symptoms of air in lines. also i had plenty of fuel pressure when this happened.

UPDATE... WELL I RESET THE APPS, DIDNT WORK. THE TRUCK RUNS FINE NOW BUT MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON. I DONT GET IT. EVERYTHING WAS FINE ON THE TRUCK TILL I CHANGED THE FUEL FILTER. THEN BAM!! CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. IT IS AT THE DEALER NOW, WILL FIND OUT TOMORROW WHATS UP I GUESS.... ANY IDEAS FROM YOU GUYS?
