hello, my dodge 2500 2005 auto, is hard to put into gear, what do I need to do.

 

When the automatic is difficult to select a gear it is almost always either the linkage is misadjusted or the throttle valve cable has popped either a plastic end or one of the housing bayonet clips. Given the time of year, I would check the linkage for mud, snow, ice, or gravel.
