Fuel Pressure - Pressure or Gauge ?

I have a 2004 with an Airdog2 which is monitored by a newer Dipricol electronic fuel pressure gauge. The fuel press sensor is mounted to a Vulcan 90 at the CP3. I usually show 20 psi at idle and when driving 110km the pressure sits around 16 steady. I was on a 8 hour drive yesterday and every once in a while the pressure needle was buried at 30+ psi and would just stay there. Then it would go back to normal. If i came off the throttle the needle would come back to the normal pressure and operate normal. I kind of think it is either the gauge or the pressure sensor. What do you think and has anyone seen this ? If it is the sensor i wonder if vibration at the CP3 is messing with it. If so maybe ill remount it in the big line kit line instead. Ideas/Suggestions ?

I thought there was a thread recently where someones gauge went up to 100 psi, and it was discussed that it was a bad pressure sending unit. You might have the same issue. Be sure to always check grounds and connections on all electrical issues first as well.
