Question fuel pressure gauge

i just installed FASS II and tomarrow my fuel pressure gauge. i was looking through the kit and the fitting for the banjo bolt won't work on the inlet side of the filter now because of the new FASS fitting.

was wondering if it mattered if i put the gauge on the inlet or outlet side of the filter canister. i wouldn't think so, but i'd rather ask than to have an "oh, s!@#" senario later.

Have mine hooked up to the in let side on the fuel filter, (was the 1/8" plug on the top of the filter) ... seems to work fine, and what was in the instructions that came with the kit from Geno's garage.
(mines a '99, not sure if the '01 is the same.)

I've got mine on the outlet of the fuel filter. That way, you know when your filter is getting dirty (not that will be a big problem with the FASS) and what pressure is actually getting to the IP.

You got a good point there ... maybe I'll switch mine over

thanks for the advice, didn't think it would hurt anything or really matter to much either way, but you never know with my luck

It does make a difference.
If you have 30psi on inlet side of filter housing and a plugged filter then you'll starve the pump. It's your dime man

Definitely read the fuel pressure the VP44 is seeing...
as long as the IP is fed, the lift pump #s aren't important
