fuel pressure

I just hooked up my areomotive fuel pump that is suppossed to be internally regualated at 18 to 20 psi and I am getting thirty psi at idle. How long can the vp 44 handle this? Will this work?

I let it sit then tried it again and I have 22 to 24 at idle and no less than 15 at wot. I'll guess I rock it for a while and see how the pump holds up.

I'm seeing 20-22psi at idle with no problems. Just make sure your not seeing those pressures until after the truck starts. The VP44 doesn't like too much pressure during startup. Mine is about 10ish at startup and then bumps up to 20-22 once oil pressure is up...

I've been running about 22psi idle and 15WOT. not problems in 2 years.
After i tried the Smarty my LP only cycles for about 5 seconds before startup.

Did you use the factory wiring circuits for the Aeromotive pump?

The VP44's lift pump is designed to pulse on and off rapidly during start-up to protect the injection pump from high inlet pressure.
