Fuel Gelled for the 2nd time
Your local JD dealership has this fuel concentrate, this stuff is incredible, never had any of My equip gell till last year, My new JD tractor the fuel gelled. Replaced the fuel filter in it and poured this stuff in the tank, bet You 1/2 later she started wright up no problemo, ask the parts Guys at JD for the stuff, try to get fuel to, thats half the battle.
where have you been getting your fuel, i want to stay away from them. even the mid 30's we had today should be enough to thaw your fuel, but have a spare filter, sometimes when the fuel gels it will collapase the filter.
Ok, This is really starting to **** me off. I went to Walmart today and couldn't find the 911 in a red bottle so I bought Peak Iso-Dri. Anyway I got home today pulled the filter and pored a small amount of Peak Iso-Dri in the filter housing and let it sit for an hour. I put the filter back in and started it a few times and of coarse it keeps shutting off. Then after those few times of starting and shuting off the water in fuel light comes on. Tried starting it again and now it won't even start at all. So I pulled the filter out for a second time and sucked all the Iso-dri/fuel out of the filter housing and put kerosene in the filter housing now. Installed the filter again and tried to start it several times. Now it will not even start for a few seconds. Oh, yeah the water in fuel light went out too now that I sucked the Iso/dri/fuel out.
Where exactly at Walmart does it say "Diesel Shop"? You have been told repeatedly how and what to do. So do it already. And don't moan and complain when you won't follow sound advice and whatever namby pamby crap you try doesn't work. Power Service 911. IN THE RED BOTTLE. Find some. What's unclear? 1 qt in the tank, and fill the NEW filter with it. Then start it up and drive it to the nearest dealer and trade it. There won't be any harm done, but like the computer customer service rep said...

I'm a 12V guy so...
can't find a picture of one on the 24v. it's a solenoid that is connected to a lever on the injection pump that cuts the fuel.
If you've ever driven an old truck or tractor where you turn the key off and it keeps running till you pull the little ****?
well this is now pulled by a solenoid. mine has a little rubber boot over the threaded rod section.

I have cracked open three injector lines and let some air/fuel out twice now and no dice. Now when I turn on the ignition the injection pump keeps running. If I remember correctly this pump should only run long enough to prime the fuels lines?
Hey fellows, chill out. We are here to help, not belittle. I,ve been running diesels of my own since 1981. The only time I had a fuel problem was when it got down to zero degrees F. I think what you are seeing isn't a fuel gelling problem. Number two winterized diesel should run in PA. just fine until it gets below the single didgits.
I read in another post for gelled fuel, that he had installed a inline filter before the factory set up and he forgot about it,once he rememberd he checked ,and it was all gelled up.He took it apart and cleaned it and the truck ran perfect.Try not to get to upset with the guys on here .When they give you advice you have to follow it to the T or alot of times things don't work out. The PS 911 is very specfic for gelled fuel, and the directions on the lable are exactly what the guys on here are teling you to do.I understand your frustration and hope this thing is running soon.
