i am trying to get my truck back together and i absolutely cannot get the front seal to go into the gear case cover the way that is shown in the cummins instructions,,, the cover is on my workbench and i just got done fixing my kdp. how can i get this very highpriced seal to go in without ruining it? thanks in advance

I've had good luck using a drill press, not turned on of course, to push it in.

i got it , wow what a PITA!!!! but i am glad now that the KDP is all taken care of. i was almost worried .

I usually drive in the seal from the INSIDE of the gear cover. It has a chamfered edge on the inside, not sharp like the outside.
