Front axle ujoint going out?

I did read this link earlier, but wasn't thinking about the driving trick. Im putting PB blaster on this thing again tonight to soak and will get on it again tomorrow. Thanks VZ!

I should have been a little more clear in my first post. If you turn your steering wheel all the way to the right and rotate your hub so the ujoint is horizontal/vertical, you can take a socket and stick it between the ujoint and the diff case on the rear side of the ujoint. You might have to rotate the hub 90 degrees to get the ujoint in the proper position. Use a socket size that will allow you to straighten the wheels so that you're pushing as straight as possible. Have someone start the truck and turn the steering wheel left while the socket is jammed in there. Remove all four bolts before you do it. You're doing basically the same thing that you're doing with the extension but you'll get much more leverage. It will come out.

I got it out! Thanks for all your posts. I ended up heating the Knuckle a bit and using the power steering and after about 30 minutes worked it out. The axle ujoint is real gritty in the bearing cups. Again thanks for your help all.
