What front axle ujoint part #

Iv been doint some reading and it seems everyone has used different ones. I hear the percision 464 is the right one but some people say it dosent fit. So what did every one put in theirs? Doin ball joints soon so might as well do ujoints too.

464 is the proper ujoint. Apparently there was a batch that had the wrong joint put into to a 464 box at percision and that was what was causing people problems. When you buy them open them up and make sure they are stamped 464 before you leave the store.

I posted this a couple of weeks ago, but it's worth repeating... I bought a Precision joint a while back. The store only had one in stock, so I went and got a 2nd joint from Carquest. The CQ joint was store-branded, $10-15 more expensive, but much better quality than the Precision joint. The casting was better finished, the seal design was better... it was overall a higher quality part.

If you've got a CQ nearby, I'd pick one up and compare.

How long are the stock front u-joints typically lasting for?

Are the aftermark u-joints coming with "proper" grease fittings or will they still take a needle fitting?

Took mine to dealer said they were covered under warranty .Then they called to tell me they had to heat everythig up so they melted brake pads and warped rotors ?Ended up costing 500 for a warranty job!Now Im worried about bearings failing
