I recently had a pretty bombed 2001 6 speed HO. I ended up blowing the head gasket and replacing with a stock to drive for about 1 month when I put my Edge comp back on I re-blow my gasket and when I send my head to machine shop they tell me my head is beyond repair. Cummins recommends no more than .015 machining but mine needs .025 unable to repair, now in search of a new or remanufactured head. Can not find one anywhere only 12 valve heads. I see on the Cummins website they have recon heads are there anywhere else I can find a good head asap, truck has been sitting at mechanics shop for about 2 weeks now while searching for head.
