Question Error code P 1756 - whatsit mean?

I have been having transmission troubles that so far have not been figured out. Tranny guy says its looks great inside and must be electrical. The engine light came on last night and this is the code P 1756.
Maybe with some input, I can make some progress.

Tranny wont shift into third most of the time unless I put it in neutral and let it idle down and then put back in drive. It will shift ok the first minute of two when cold. Thanks

P1756 Governor Pressure Not Equal To Target At 15–20 PSI

I'd say either the Governor Pressure sensor, or solonoid has gone fritzy.

Thanks a lot. What I did this am was disconnect the batteries for about an hour. It helped enormously and the check engine light went out and stayed out. I went for a long drive and things are almost normal. If I put my foot into it even a little, I wont get a shift out of second unless I pull off the throttle.
I just now put in new batteries for the first time, so get to rest the computer again.
