Engine swap

I have a blown 2005 5.9L
i can buy a 2003 motor
can they be swapped?

So, do you have a blown motor or "just" oil pouring out of #4 exhaust?

03-07 the engine stayed basically the same, maybe @oliver foster has better info.

Maybe you can post some pictures of what you have, and maybe take a look into the exhaust port.

Blown motor engine swap

Well your forum was very educational. I guess the plane engine swap is not feasible. I guess the two different animals all together. So I’m just gonna have this One rebuilt. It’s not cheap but they’re pulling it out rebuilding it half of it up a little bit and installing it thank you everybody for your help. This is a very helpful Website and I’m glad I joined

Well, OK, so you seem disappointed that you posted two short problem reports with no details and got an answer within 3 hours that asked you to provide some details.

6 hours later you have torn down the engine, have a complete diagnosis, a plan to rebuild, and you contradict the info you got on here.
