We left from Murfreesboro today going to Ashville NC on i40 we hit a 5 mile steep grade and just before we got over the top I lost power and my buddie behind me said he saw smoke from under the hood we were both pulling 5ers but when I pulled over it was lots of blowby from my crankcase the engine temp did not ever go up.We decided to try to keep going till we found a exit but after we got going it seem to run fine but later we started hering a knock it sounds like a wrist pin not from the bottom or the top but some where in between I pulled the valve cover but found nothing wrong there it dont seem to be a rod bearing because we have made it all the way to Ashville some 200 miles after it happend all the gauges are good the exast temp never got over 1050* the boost was about 32 psi when it happend and I did have both chips on when it happened also the blowby does not seem as bad now but at a idle it sounds bad at highway speeds some times you can hardly here it someone here at the rv park said it sounded like a ip . Has anyone ha dsomething like this happen ?
