Anyone ever have the rivits on the door mechanism break off? Mine broke and its sheet metal all around it is cracked really bad.. This just happened yesterday and I gotta keep the door closed using a belt!

Does anyone know where I can get a new door really quickly! Btw im in Socal.

 

My 97 did the same thing. I got a wire feed wielder and wielded up the cracks and then put a thin piece of metal over the damage area. I then wielded the piece onto the door. I don't know how long the fix worked b/c my truck got totaled about 3 weeks later. A body shop wanted $250 for the job. I took my time with the fix and I think it would have held up.
