Exclamation Don M injectors

Does anyone know if Don M installs new copper sealing washers when he does new nozzles? To me, they look like the old ones that were on the injectors when I sent them in. I have the new washers if necessary, but how do you get the old ones off? They are on there TIGHT.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks...that's exactly what I was thinking...it doesn't make sense to rebuild them and put on new nozzles and old copper washers. They just don't look like the new ones I bought from Cummins

I am not one to doubt Don's work... maybe they were used, but within spec.

However, I would call him before messing with anything... we are only human, mistakes are made.

Don sends new washers with injectors.
Take a close look at washer, do you
see a mark where they were compressed.
If you don't see a mark they are new.

I have a call in to Source Auto, who will contact Don for me. The new ones I have are all nice and square on the edge, and about 1.5 mm as spec. The ones on my injectors are rounded, compressed and appear to be uneven, so I think is is just an oversite, as MadHat suggested can happen with humans...

I'll update when they get back to me...

Just got a reply from Bill at Source... Don says that they ARE new, however they are slightly rounder and thinner than the Cummins stock ones. So, we're all good. At least I have a spare set of washers if I need to pull the injectors again
