Do I have a problem?

I was changing the oil today and when I got done with that little chore, I decided to roll around under the truck to try and find a good place to mount an air tank for my to-be-installed-in-the-future airbag suspension system. I noticed what appeared to be oil under the cab. Grabbed a rag and tried to wipe it up. It seemed to be a somewhat heavy oil or light grease. In the process of wiping it up, I was dismayed to see that it was cleaning the undercoating off the bottom of my rig.

I looked around to see where it was coming from and noticed that most of it seemed to be right in line with the front U-joints, right behind the transmission.

Do I have a problem with the front U-joints?

I have just over 35,000 miles on my rig, so I think it should be covered under the 100,000 mile drive-train, right?

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
DMH

Sounds like a possible rear transmission seal leak to me.
