diff problems

Front pinion bearing went out.

D-70 w/3.54s. I went on line looking for parts and the prices vary by 1oos of dollars, what gives? range for bearings only 150 -350 and for gears 195-700.

I haven't pulled the back cover yet, but wanted as much advise as possible.

If the gears are shot I may swap them for 3.70s since I tow 7-11,000 all the time.

well, it's like anything in that you get what you pay for. you can get cheap ring and pinon sets, chinese bearings etc. or pay for the higher quality stuff. Call Randy's ring and pinion, I have never dealt with them personally but i see their ads everywhere.
