Front DIff Cover Problems

Hello Guys~
I've recieved alot of good info on this site about my diesel truck and appriecieate all the discussion and enjoy researching and looking at pictures, But I now have a problem of my own. I have followed all of my maintenance schedule recommendations to the t since I bought my truck in 2002 and one of them was changing differential fluids, all has gone well except the front differential cover has leaked and been re-sealed by the dealer 4 times. This seems to be a cronic problem and the dealer only does the same thing over and over providing no permanant fix, I researched the topic and have found no similar issues. Is there any alternative so that I can have a leak free truck?? and dont have to continually check the fluid level so I can drive? Thanks in advance for the input!!
Have a Great Day

Make sure you are using the right rtv silicone and that it is compatible with the type of gear oil you are using. I used the mopar orange or red as it is designed for synthetic gear oils. If you are using synthetic oil and the other sealants they can weep. Mine leaked but i also had rubbed a rock so that might of been some of the problem.

Fill out your sig so we know what kind of truck you have.

I like to use a gasket and some non hardening "black" gasket sealer. Make sure and don't over torque the bolts.

Also check to make sure the cover has not been bent ie pulled at bottom to let oil out without removing top bolts. The gasket I thought was reusable, has 2 rubber seals inbedded in the seal, unless early trucks didn't come with it. Bolt torque I think is 30 to 35lbs max. anything over that will warp the cover causing weepage.

Thanks for the help, I checked the color of the sealant and its grey, with mopar fluid in it from the dealer hypoid 80w-90 I think, is that sealant compatible with the fluid? I dont see any warp while its on, but I will check it this weekend when its not in use, Also I go to the farm alot, is there a chance that hitting something with the pumpkin could damage the cover? also all bolts are tight and to spec.

Mine had the gray befor i resealed the cover with the red/orange and went to synthetic. If your out of warranty or have a deductable it would be cheeper to do it your self.
