blew the diff with too much gas going in reverse then rebuild it with oem spider gear, clutches, carrier bearings, and same shims. Spicer slip additive was used. I am getting this metal *tink *tink whenever I am turning. I can go straight forward and backwards fine but once I turn it starts making the noise then growling. The noise is not there on fast turns on slow. I do hear backlash noise when putting it in gear. I found scratches from the splash ring on the inside of the diff cover. I will try to upload the video and photos. Any directions would be appreciated.
In not exactly clear on your description. I have never heard a diff make that noise. Splash ring? You mean the ABS tone/sensor ring?
If the noise only comes up when turning, then there's trouble in the limited slip. Do you know if you have a trac-lok or a powr-lok? And did you get the right parts for it?

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I believe it is called a Tone ring. It is a power lock system, I got all the parts from searching the BOM 606095 4
From rock auto the kit I used is. DANA 10003699 SVL; Kit Info
Rear Axle; with 32 Splines; with Dana 70 Axle; with Power Lok Limited Slip
When I took apart the diff the first time inside the locker the clutches were really bad, spider gears were chewed up, and one collar that holds the gear was cracked. Clutch plates were stacked the correct way and the thin plate too. I replaced the carrier bearings with new shims matching what I took off.
It almost feels like I have a bent axle shaft or something weird but nothing looks wrong from the multiple times I had it apart. I have to truck waiting to get looked at by a diff shop but they are busy until next week.
If I give the truck gas while doing a slow sharp turn it will lock up the wheel, and when I go slow around a corner it almost feels bouncy at times.
