I have a recent problem (one which just started the last few days when the temp got below zero, but has continued even after the temp went back up) where my truck makes a noise btw 22 and 30 mph. It is a whistle like sound, but very airy sounding (imaging blowing across a beer bottle, but at a higher pitch). The pitch changes with speed within that range (faster = higher pitch). I changed out the front and rear axle fluids 2500 miles ago, and went with 75/90 mobil 1 synth. I cannot pinpoint where it is comming from. It does not matter if I am on the go pedal, in neutral, etc, it will still make the noise, but it does seem to be more prevalent in 4th gear.


Any ideas would be appreciated, It is still under warranty, but as you know if I don't know what the problem is before I go to the dealer, they will feed me a line of sh (edited to save the moderator's keyboard (hi top ) ) about how it is all normal, and is "supposed to make that noise".
