D-C position on engine bonding

After I had an expensive electrical and fuel tank fire in my truck in July, I discovered that the engine in the Cummins powered Rams is not bonded to body or chassis. I have written two certified letters to Mr. M. R. Porterfield at Daimler-Chrysler Special Investigations. So far, he has not responed to me in writing, but he did leave me a message on my voice mail and said "There is a ground strap on these things, and our position stands." (Daimler-Chrysler not responsible). So I guess we all have to keep looking, it must be there!

Why of course Neal! the old elusive ground strap routine. If he was so sure I would have thought he would have at least said where it was located.

There's a fairly long thread on this subject somewhere on the forum. I take it we're still looking for the ground strap? :

Funny. I just got a recall notice for a loose cable that could cause a fire under the hood. Somebody must have got there attention. It's not a ground though. Sorry.

Before all you motorheads go nuts looking for that ground strap, you have to remember that Dodge invented Stealth Technology in cooperation with the Mitsubishi Corp. (known for the famous Zero fighter planes that made the stealthy attack on Pearl Harbor).

This ground strap is not only invisible, but cannot be detected by electronic meters of any kind. Find this hard to believe? Then where are all those Dodge Stealth sports cars? They seem to have disappeared!
