Engine Position Signal from ECM to VP44
Engine Position Signal from ECM to VP44
This is the signal that is sent from pin 7 of ECM to pin 8 of VP44.
I scoped the signal today and got a 12v square wave. I was expecting a 5v square wave since both crank sensor signal and cam sensor signal are 5v square waves. It appears that the ECM processes the signals and generates a 12v square wave, I assume because that is what the VP44 is designed for.
Can someone confirm that this signal to the VP is indeed supposed to be 12v and not 5v?
