cruise control
cruise control
Hey all,
My '99 1 ton 4 x 4, 5spd cruise will not stay on. As soon as I hit the on control on the steering wheel it immediatley shuts right back off. In order to try to turn it back on I have to shut the key switch off to clear it or something. I do not get any codes with this issue. Wondering if it could be the clock spring, switches in the steering wheel or something in the inj. pump. No doubt it will be the ecm!
Thanks

Pretty common for the brake switch on these rigs to fail, they're cheap.
Try lifting up the brake pedal with your foot while engaging the cruise at at least 40 mph.
If that works buy a new one, about $12 at Napa, takes a couple minutes to install.
