I know now that we don't have glowplugs, thanks. what is the difference.
what is the v44 that's cooled by fuel and where is it located?
Love this sight, lot's of good info found in here. thanks

Cummins uses a "grid heater", basically an electric griddle under the intake horn to heat the air as it enters the engine.
VP44 is the injection pump. It's right underneath the APPS (accelerator pedal position sensor) which is the electronic throttle control. It's located at the drivers side top/front of the engine under the black plastic cover.
Sight is good, info varies.
