Angry Coolant Leak

I have coolant leaking from rear of engine. It is dripping from the bottom of adapter between engine and bell housing. Am going to try to get a better look tomorrow afternoon with mirror and good light from underneath. It is not a fast leak--just a slow drip. Was hoping someone might know what this is. I have looked at the core plugs I can see with just the light from above and see no evidence of leaks.

Well you have three choices that I know of that would be in front of the adaptor. There is a freeze plug on the back of the block, do a search, there was a thread on another one. It could be the head gasket leaking at the corner on the drivers side. And I think there is a small freeze plug on the back of the head. Also take a good look on the passenter side torward the rear of the engine where the block steps down in width, hope it is not leaking there.

I agree with all the possibilities from thumper and hid. Try to clean things up as good as you can and use a pressure tester on the rad. Watch for leaks while cold and eng off. If it is a hose or core plug it will leak immediately. If it has to be warm to leak watch closely arround the head gasket area. Good luck
