Codes 1693 and 522

Got 'em just before getting home. Oil pressure guage went dead. Checked under and around and found no oil where it shouldn't be. Truck running fine.
Pressure guage did jump back up momentarily, then dead again.
TIA

0522 is indeed low oil pressure, 1693 the ever popular companion code,
the code telling you there is a code.

More than likely it is just the oil pressure sender that has gone bad, theoretically easy and cheap to replace.

In my many years here, I have never heard of an oil pump going bad in these engines.

Thanks, since I got the codes the guage has started the "good pressure, no pressure" shuffle. Guess it's time to buy a quality aftermarket guage.
