I removed my afc to inspect my fuel plate and after puting everything back together my gen light came on and I ran the codes on it and got 47, anybody have this happen to them?

 

Use a voltmeter to verify your charging voltage. Always a good place to start.

 

checked with volt meter all is good. I think I found the problem because I duplicated it this morning. As I raised the hood this morning the water that was standing on the hood splashed all over my alt, put the hood down fired it up the light came on. I dried it off and let it set for about a hour fired it up and the light was out took it for a test drive to see if it would return and got nothing so maybe thats what it was I don't know but I appreciate your help thanks.
