Does any one know what this code means, it only seems to happen when you put the small pedal to the floor the tranny is slipping bad which causes motor to over rev, tranny is getting fixed but just trying to figure out the code, any help would be great.

 

Uhhh ohhhh, sounds like an injection pump going! Do you have the wire tapped? - could be a bad connection. Other than that, here's the info on the code.

Symptom:
P0252-FUEL VALVE SIGNAL MISSING
When Monitored and Set Condition:
P0252-FUEL VALVE SIGNAL MISSING
When Monitored: After current feedback monitoring is complete. Average engine speed is
above 700 RPM.
Set Condition: The ECM does not receive a signal from the solenoid valve indicating
valve movement.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
FUEL INJECTION PUMP
TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
1 Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIIIt, erase ECM DTC’s.
Test Drive the vehicle.
With the DRBIIIt, read ECM DTC’s.
Is DTC P0252 present?
All
Yes ® Replace the Fuel Injection Pump in accordance with the Service
Information.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
No ® Test Complete.

You can check all the connections at the back of the IP, but if everything looks good............plan on a new IP sooon!

 

ok , when the code is pulled up in the scanner there is no P or zero it just says 252 undocumented is this the same a the P0252 code?????

 

Ummm.....what kind of scanner are you using? Most of them have even a brief generic description of the code. All other modules on your truck do not use a numerical code. 'Bout has to be a powertrain code.
