Chip Screw Up My 24V NEED HELP!!

Hi I have a 1998.5 24Valve dullay, 4x4, 5spd, quad cab, Now for the problem I pluged a Chip in to my truck and it would not start so I check all the plugins and tried it again It still would not start so I unhooked it and it started BUT NOW when it is hot it cranks longer to start, What do you think it might be also When I run it hard and then stop it will like high idle? I need help. Thanks Nick

It was a Vanhagen 50hp on setting box. It will always start but it cranks for like 10sec and dont fire right off like my dads 12V does. Thanks for all the other replys very helpful.

To get the codes should I buy one of the scan tools for my truck or should I take it to a local grage and have them check it? Thanks Nick

Try turning your key to the accessory on position and then off and back 3 times, then look at your odometer, it should flash some four digit numbers or if there are no codes it will just say done.

Not on a 98, or a 99.
