This is the second vacum pump I am installing, The drive gear gets chewed up and I have to replace the pump...

Any ideas of what it could be ???

 

I'd pull that front timing cover off and see what the heck is going on in there , it is possible a bolt has backed out of somewhere and that is chewing up the gear, or there are a whole bunch of gears messed up in there.
